Karma Police - RadioHead Lesson

I’ve received many requests to post a good Karma Police lesson and after scouring YouTube (the best guitar learning tool ever!!…. hint: see earlier post) for hours :) I have found a lesson by John Russo that is great at breaking this song down for beginners like me. I’ve included the lyrics also. Make sure you learn the ENTIRE song without the lyrics (all the chords/rhythms/etc) before you attempt to play and sing. This will speed up your learning process significantly . Hope you enjoy and before you know it you’ll be playing this hit for your friends! Keep playing everyone.

Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge
He’s like a detuned radio

Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is
Making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us

Karma Police
I’ve given all I can
It’s not enough
I’ve given all I can
But we’re still on the payroll

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us

And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

Jamorama Reviewed…

If you have looked online for guitar lessons at all then you have probably run across the “Jamorama” guitar learning package. The first thing you see on the sites sales page is:

WHO ELSE Wants To Learn To Play Guitar Step-By-Step Like The Eagles, Green Day, Pink Floyd, Guns ‘n Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Eric Clapton, The Beatles and more?

Pretty convincing stuff right? Well I bought it and am not exactly playing like Jimi or Eric (and yes I practiced). Jamorama isn’t a bad course. It just isn’t a great course, in my opinion. I’ve heard from others that they really liked it and it helped them out alot. I suspect that for many people this is the case. Here’s what a newbie said about it:

This is a basic Get you up and playing course - the idea is to get you used to playing chords - thats it - nothing really on scales or theory or lead breaks, just chords. Overall the written material and is good, easy to use and an ideal way to give you confidence. You can’t teach yourself with this course but you can get started. In the end you will need to get a teacher, no getting away from it. Having said that, I started out with this course and it gave me the confidence to continue playing.”

It comes with a money back guarantee so you really have nothing to lose. I just think there are better products out there. Here are ones that I have used that I like :
